Montgomery enlisted in the Army in 1997, earned his commission at West Point, and went on to serve in the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, NC, and the 3rd Infantry Division at Fort Stewart, GA. His leadership took him to the front lines of some of America’s most critical missions, deploying twice to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, leading humanitarian relief efforts in Haiti after the 2010 earthquake, and most recently serving in Poland to deter Russian aggression.

“I’ve spent over two decades of my life serving this country, and I’m not done yet,” said Montgomery. “Southeast Georgia is home to critical national defense assets, hardworking farmers and producers, and the best ports in America. I’m running for Congress to support our agriculture community, cut burdensome regulations on businesses, and ensure Fort Stewart, Hunter Army Airfield, and Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay stay among America’s most premier military bases. I stand with President Trump’s commitment to restoring American strength, and I’ll work every day to defend our values and put America First.

Montgomery and his wife, Carrie, have lived in Savannah for nearly a decade with their two children, in a community they are proud to serve and call home.
