ABOUT BRIAN

Lieutenant Colonel Brian Montgomery (Ret.) is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, a combat veteran, and a Ranger-qualified Infantry Officer who dedicated more than two decades of his life to serving our nation.

 

Brian answered the call to serve in 1997 when he enlisted in the U.S. Army. Through hard work he earned his commission from West Point and went on to serve with distinction in some of the Army’s most elite units, including the legendary 82nd Airborne Division and the decorated 3rd Infantry Division. He earned the privilege to command one of the Army’s most storied units, the 3rd Battalion, 15th Infantry Regiment of the 3rd Infantry Division at Fort Stewart, Georgia.
 

His commitment to service took him to the front lines of America’s most critical missions; deploying twice to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, leading humanitarian relief efforts in Haiti after the 2010 earthquake, and most recently serving in Poland to strengthen U.S. alliances and deter Russian aggression.
 

Throughout his career, Brian had the honor of serving alongside some of the bravest men and women to wear the uniform, warriors who answered the call to defend our nation with courage, selflessness, and determination. He carries with him the memory of his West Point classmates who gave their lives in the Global War on Terror. Their sacrifice, and the sacrifice of so many others, fuels his commitment to continue serving our country.
 

A battle tested conservative, Brian Montgomery is ready to bring his sense of duty and mission to Washington, fighting for the people of Southeast Georgia. He will stand shoulder to shoulder with President Donald Trump to put America First.

Brian and his wife Carrie, a dedicated healthcare professional, have made Savannah their home for nearly a decade. They are raising two incredible children in a community they love and proudly serve.
 

Every day, Brian looks at his children and is reminded of what’s at stake. He is fighting to secure their future, the future of all American children and those yet unborn. He believes in an America where no matter your background, if you work hard enough, you can achieve the American Dream.
 

Brian Montgomery will bring strong, steady leadership to Congress, leadership forged in combat, grounded in character, and driven by an unshakable belief in American exceptionalism. He will serve in Congress the same way he served on the battlefield: with courage, clarity, and without regard for personal gain. Southeast Georgia needs a leader with the courage to fight and the steadiness to deliver. Brian Montgomery has proven he is both.
